Please join us at White Eagle Hall for an evening of networking with Jersey City and NJ State community leaders. This open house will follow the annual SID conference and awards ceremony which will take place at NJCU-School of Business at Harborside, 9am-4pm. This conference draws municipal officials, planners, developers, real estate brokers, and Special Improvement District directors from the entire State of NJ.

This open house is geared to promote communication and partnerships amongst community leaders of New Jersey. The growth and development of New Jersey lies with our business owners and politicians, with non-profit organizations and other volunteers and professionals. Enjoy and unwind with an evening of casual networking.

Track judicial and legislative issues that can affect the success of New Jersey’s downtown commercial districts;
Provide opportunities to foster communication among the business, government and professional communities concerned with the well-being of downtown and commercial districts;
Inform and educate membership on legislative issues involving downtowns and commercial business districts.
The Jersey City Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC) is a private, nonprofit 501 (c) (3) corporation created in 1980.

The mission of the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation is to promote and facilitate economic development throughout Jersey City. Working in conjunction with City officials, JCEDC serves the people and business community of Jersey City by:

Assisting businesses, especially small businesses, with technical assistance and flexible financial programs that create and retain employment opportunities;
Administering programs that stimulate neighborhood economic development and contribute to the overall economic wellbeing of Jersey City;
Facilitating the dissemination of economic development information; and
Working with government to coordinate existing economic development efforts and focus resources for maximum impact.
